Vidra accumulation lake

Lake Vidra is a reservoir. Anthropic lake founded in 1972 has a volume of 340 million M3, surface 940 ha, length 9 km. The lake is surrounded by spruce forests.
Vidra Dam is located on the Lotru River, in Vidra Gorges, 30 km upstream from Voineasa resort. It represents the main arrangement within the arrangement scheme of the Lotru river.
The Petrimanu accumulation lake is located about 25 km west of Voineasa commune and is distinguished by its colors, the air it releases.
Transalpina is the highest road in Romania and the entire chain of the Carpathian Mountains, reaching the maximum altitude (2145 m) in Urdele Pass. Transalpina crosses the Parang Mountains from N to S, being parallel to the Olt Valley and the Jiu Valley, between which it is located, and connects the Saliste Locality in Jud. Sibiu from Novaci, Jud. Gorj.
The Transalpine route has a length of:
- 141 km from Novaci to Saliste, respectively 155 km from Bengesti (the place where the Transalpine route detaches from dn67, Tg. Jiu – Rm. Valcea) to Saliste (the intersection with dn1 Sibiu – Sebes),
- 137 km from Novaci to Sebes, respectively 148 km from Bengesti to Sebes (dn67c) for those who choose this route.
From Voineasa you reach Obarsia Lotrului where the road intersects in all directions.
