Also, Istriţa Hill is a point of attraction for lovers of extreme sports, here being air currents suitable for those who want to try the experience of paragliding.
Officially inaugurated as a spa resort on July 1, 1895, Sărata-Monteoru has waters with healing properties that have been mentioned since 1837.

Currently, mineral water sources are represented by 3 hydrogeological drillings, a mining well and 19 springs with a grade high mineralization (up to 513 g / liter), which produce deposit-type water. The moderate continental climate that characterizes this transition zone to the subalpine sector is an important therapeutic factor.

The resort has a sedative climate, with strong negative ionizing air and is known for salt mineral waters, iodized, brominated, magnesium, sulfur, calcium and mineral sludge from natural sulfur springs that are indicated for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, gynecological diseases, gastrointestinal, hepato-biliary.
